Spring Physical Therapy

Staying healthy is not something that just happens for most people. Life brings on more than its share of aches and pains, it seems. Two things that can help reduce this pain in a person’s life are chiropractic care and personal training. However, not everyone thinks of using both programs at the same time. While it is not unusual for a chiropractor to offer some personal training services, at Spring Chiropractic in Spring, TX we have gone one step further and branched off a completely separate personal training center from our chiropractic office called Spring Physical Therapy.

What is Spring Physical Therapy?

Spring Physical Therapy is an offshoot of Spring Chiropractic started largely because so many of the health issues that have brought patients to seek treatment from a chiropractor come from a sedentary lifestyle. Chiropractic is a cooperative type of care. While the chiropractic adjustments help, in order to sustain the results from treatment, it is important that patients take the time and make the effort that will help them heal any current injuries as well as develop the strength that will prevent future ones. For some, taking on an exercise program can be intimidating, because they are afraid of re-injuring themselves or even suffering from a new one. Since Spring Physical Therapy is both independent and connected to the chiropractic center, there is always peace of mind that help is literally a few steps away.

Most Common Reasons to be sent to “Spring Physical Therapy”

A sedentary lifestyle can cause many problems, and so can lack balance in your training program. Two of the most common problems are upper cross syndrome and lower cross syndrome.

  • Upper Cross Syndrome is caused by sitting too long with poor posture, using poor techniques when exercising, or uneven training with poor technique. These things cause muscle imbalance that can lead to pain.
  • Lower Cross Syndrome is caused by weakness in the deep abdominal muscles and gluteus maximus. It is also an imbalance in the pelvic muscles and the trunk.

In order to fix these problems long term, it is important that patients have the right training in order to increase their core strength and learn about proper posture and the importance of a balanced training program. Simply sending patients home with a piece of paper with exercise examples does not produce the needed results long term. By taking on a personal training program along with chiropractic treatments, you are taking responsibility for your own health and pain management. Some of the services provided by Spring Physical Therapy include:

  • High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  • Cardio Training
  • Fitness Assessments
  • Yoga Classes
  • Nutritional counseling with Meal Training
  • And more

Training sessions are offered either one on one, in small groups, or in classes.
